The provider response determines the detail
Motorworks supports tenant-configured connections to 4tonic and Motorcheck. It maps the response into a common vehicle record so the rest of the application does not depend on one provider’s field names.
Not every registration or provider response contains every field. Staff review the result before saving it, particularly dates, VIN and commercial-vehicle information.
Avoid duplicate vehicle records
If the registration already exists in the workspace, the lookup can return that vehicle and its current owner instead of creating a second copy. New records retain the lookup date and raw provider response for provenance.
