Know what is on the shelf and how it got there

Keep stock changes tied to receiving, returns, jobs and counted adjustments instead of editing a quantity with no explanation.

Key Benefits

One parts catalogue

Store stock code, description, category, cost, selling price, stock level and reorder information for regularly used items.

More than one supplier

Link supplier part numbers and costs to the same catalogue item, then identify the preferred supplier used for ordering.

Supplier catalogue import

Upload a supplier CSV, map its columns, review the rows and import valid parts without duplicating an existing stock code.

Recorded stock movements

Opening stock, purchase receipts, returns, job usage and stocktakes create a history showing the quantity change and resulting balance.

A catalogue the front desk can actually use

Motorworks keeps the common information for a part in one place, including the stock code, prices, category and reorder settings. Supplier-specific part numbers and costs sit alongside it, so staff do not need a second catalogue for the same item.

Receiving and returns affect stock

Purchase-order lines can be received in part or in full. Catalogue items update through the recorded stock movement rather than a loose quantity edit. A supplier return records the quantities going back and the related refund or credit details.

Count the shelf and keep the reason

An authorised stocktake records the counted quantity, variance, location and reason. Motorworks retains the movement history, making it possible to distinguish a delivery, a fitted part and a stock correction when the number needs explaining.

This feature is included in the Motorworks workshop system.
