Purchase for the job or for stock
A purchase order can be tied to a workshop job when the parts are being bought for specific work, or left as a stock order when they are replenishing the shelf. Catalogue lines retain the part reference; custom lines remain available for one-off items.
Receive what actually arrived
Motorworks records received quantity by line, including partial deliveries. When a line points to a catalogue part, receiving posts the stock movement rather than relying on someone to edit the quantity later.
Returns and payments remain part of the same account
Eligible received lines can be returned to the supplier. The order shows the returned quantity and related refund or credit, while supplier payments reduce the outstanding purchase balance. The supplier accounts feature brings those balances together across all purchase orders.
